On this the 147th birthday of Sri Aurobindo and the 72nd birthday of India, I request you to contemplate your role in the great march of this world in seeking a divinity within and without.
We live in blessed magical times as I’ve stated here: http://yieldmore.org/express/imran/keep-smiling/
It’s a fine morning to ponder again Sri Aurobindo’s five fold dream stated by him here: http://yieldmore.org/india which I summarize now:
… for a revolutionary movement which would create a free and united India.
… for the resurgence and liberation of the peoples of Asia and her return to her great role in the progress of human civilization.
… for a world-union forming the outer basis of a fairer, brighter and nobler life for all mankind.
… for the spiritual gift of India to the world [to become an established fact]
… for a step in evolution which would raise man to a higher and larger consciousness.
So what are we doing to create a united India? What are we doing to uphold Dharma?
Oh Liberty, until when shall the cross be kept apart from the crescent, kept apart from the lingam before the eyes of God?
It’s our world now, let us exert our free will and BUILD SOMETHING PAR EXCELLENCE!
Heroes Unite, Pacifists First
Enough limited identification with nation, city, community, and religion.
It is these barriers that usurp the light of divinity that shines down on us. Stop us from being ourselves – illimitable love!
I’ve said before #GoodThingsAboutOtherCountries, other people, other races, other lands, other religions, other species, other genders etc.
It is acceptance of each other as we’ve accepted ourselves that is indeed the order of the day.
I name the first hero, Pacifist Supreme. Let’s look at the principle, not the man – MK Gandhi whose spirit lives in us and is there when the hunter misses his shot, the general fails to press the detonate switch and we hug our past enemy, kiss and make up. I urge you to live “5 minutes of heaven” on Earth and then stretch it to infinity.
Our past is full of wars, some over principles. So let’s keep the principles, forget the war, remove the defence (offence) budget, and “kill the past and come back to life”.
