Q) Whats wrong with idol worship

An idol is a representation of the lord/god you wish to pray to - at least that is the nature of it. When worshipper looks at the idol and cannot comprehend the beyond, then the system gets faulted - thus the current 3033 gods in the Hindu culture - yet all is one and one is all - If all understand that and the mind looks beyond the actual representations, then you have one single almighty, supreme entity that permeates it's essence in everything and is everywhere.
