The rhythm of poetry,

A music from the soul,

Like the sweetest nectar,

You make one whole.

You heal the broken hearted,

You're intoxication above that of wine;

You bring us close to the departed,

With every word, every line.

You can make the rich a pauper,

Turn a slave into a king;

Your words are written on paper,

Those which we love to sing.

You have no past or future

You neither have an end

Yet many a heart you've taken

And been many's best friend.
